The Equinox offers a spacious cabin, cutting-edge technology, an affordable price, and advanced safety features. It competes with the Mazda CX-5, Subaru Forester, and Kia Soul in the Kenyan market. Models manufactured between 2015 and 2019 retail from Ksh 2 million to Ksh 3.4 million, while the latest model costs up to Ksh 5 million.
Ford Escape
The Ford Escape is a compact SUV that has been in production since 2001. It is positioned between the Ford EcoSport and the Ford Edge. Offering a wide range of trim levels, powertrains, and cutting-edge technology, the Escape is often overlooked in the Kenyan market. The Escape competes with segment leaders such as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. Escape prices range from Ksh 1.7 million to Ksh 5 million depending on the year.
Jeep Compass
The Jeep Compass was launched in 2007 and is now in its second generation. The Compass is positioned between the smaller Jeep Renegade and the larger Jeep Grand Cherokee. Based on the DaimlerChrysler platform, the Jeep Compass offers a spacious interior, adult-sized seats, advanced features, and excellent off-road capability. The Jeep Compass retails for between Ksh 3 million and Ksh 4.5 million in Kenya, depending on the year and trim level.
Nissan Altima
The Altima was launched in 1992 as the successor to the Nissan Bluebird. Since then, the Altima has established itself as a reliable sedan that exudes luxury. However, the Nissan Altima is not well known in the Kenyan market. Currently, in its sixth generation, the Altima retails for between Ksh 1 million and Ksh 2.1 million depending on the year of manufacture.
