This is the most luxurious and advanced trim that is sold in the JDM. It’s not very common in Kenya due to its hefty price tag and thirsty engine. It’s got a 4.0L, V6,DOHC, Dual VVTI Petrol Engine with an output of 282 HP. Its directly comparable to the VX-L in equipment so the rest of the details are highly similar.

Toyota Prado GX and GXL – 3.0L Diesel

The Toyota Prado GX is the most basic trim that is sold locally. Its most popular with the government and International organizations such as the UN. It’s got the non-turbo 3.0L Diesel, OHC engine with an output of 104 HP. It’s got bare minimum equipment such as manual seats, parallel third-row seats, and no turn signal on side mirrors.
The GXL is better equipped, with a 3.0 Turbo Diesel, DOHC, Common Rail engine with an output of 173 HP. It’s got split foldable seats on the third row.
