2014 Nissan X-Trail Review

The Nissan X-Trail is a compact crossover SUV that has been in production for three generation since 2000. It has become quite popular in the Kenyan market and it’s now one of the best selling medium sized SUV’s. The first generation known as the T30 was in production from 2000 to 2007, the second generation known as the T31 was in production from 2007 to 2015 and the third generation known as the T32 has been in production from 2013 to present.

The 2014 Nissan X-Trail comes with a 2.0L MR20DD petrol engine that is linked to an Extronic CVT and available in both 2WD and 4WD.

2014 Nissan X-Trail Interior
The Nissan X-Trail has taken its interior space a notch higher by adding the much desired third row seats. It can now seat 7 passengers which brings it at par with the outgoing Toyota Vanguard. The first and second rows are spacious while the third row is moderately spaced and is ideal for children.

The X-Trail ditches the boxy body for a more smooth and curvier form. The standard grades come with 17-Inch alloy rims while the off-road themed Extremer X comes with 18-Inch alloy rims and an extra body styling.

Cabin Storage
At the first row, it comes with 4 cup-holders, a storage shelf on the dashboard, glovebox, center-box, and door pockets. At the second row, there are 2 cup-holders in the armrest compartment, front seat pockets and door pockets. At the third row, there are two cupholders on the wheel arch compartment

In the 5-seater setup, the boot is humongous and can carry luggage enough for a family of five with room to spare. In the 7-seater setup, the boot is small and cannot carry any meaningful luggage.
