The first generation Ford Everest, codenamed U268/UR, went into production in 2003 and lasted until 2015. Because it is built on the Ranger, it retains the Ranger’s double wishbone independent front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension, while also being designed to provide superior ride comfort and handling than the Ranger.
The Everest received a significant facelift in 2006, with the entire front and side body panels redone to match the redesign of its base vehicle, the Ranger. The Ford Everest’s second generation, designated U375/UA, began manufacture in 2015 and stayed in production until 2022.
