The first generation of the Nissan Sylphy codenamed G10 or N16 in other markets commenced its production in 2000 and continued up to 2005. From 2005 to 2012, the G11 marked the second generation of the Sylphy. The B17 represented the third generation of the Nissan Sylphy and was produced from 2012 to 2019. The Nissan Sylphy is currently in its fourth generation designated B18. The 2017 Nissan Sylphy is available with two engine options;  a 1.6 L (Petrol), and a 1.8 Litre MRA8DE (Petrol) linked t0 an Xtronic CVT.
