The Mitsubishi Lancer was once a popular economy car in Kenya and many people loved it for its simplicity, affordability and fuel efficiency. On the other hand, there were questions around its long term reliability, which consequently affected its resale value. In 2007 It was replaced by the Mitsubishi Galant Fortis in Japan but it retained the Lancer name in other markets. The Lancer Evolution which is a popular rally car is based on this platform.
