Stability And Handling
The 2017 BMW X3 is a very stable vehicle whether driven at high or low speed. This car has an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) whose primary aim is to prevent skidding, which occurs when steering and control are lost due to locked wheels when braking forcefully. Its front is fitted with strut suspension type and its rear suspension is multi-link which helps in absorbing bumps and preserving stability on the road.
This vehicle also has power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering which makes it very responsive when turning on sharp curves or maneuvering at high speed.
The 2017 BMW X3 stability is further enhanced courtesy of the Traction Control system (TRC).

Reliability
The drivetrain and transmission of the 2017 BMW X3 are extremely reliable and rarely have any issues. This vehicle has a good ground clearance to tackle light off-road terrain, but it was not made to climb rocks or drive in rough terrain like a land rover.
For people with big families, this is the ideal car for them for its very spacious when carrying passengers as well as cargo.
However, a number of users have noted engine oil leaks in the 2017 BMW X3 which are often caused by deteriorating valve cover gaskets or cracks in the valve cover themselves. Engine overheating and coolant leaks are other common problems. This could be caused by a bad thermostat or housing.
For a detailed reliability report, refer to the BMW X3 buyer guide. We also recommend that you always adhere to the guidelines outlined in the owner’s manual.
