The Nissan Skyline has spanned 12 generations and is currently on its 13th iteration, designated the V37. It has borrowed design cues from Infiniti, which is also a Nissan subsidiary. In a major departure from previous generations, the V37 Skyline is only available as a 4-door saloon. What is unique about the current generation of the Skyline is that it is powered by a Mercedes engine.

The 2017 Nissan Skyline comes with three engine options, a 2.0 L Mercedes Benz M2274 (Petrol), a 3.0 L VR30DDTT (Petrol), and a 3.5 L VQ35HR (Hybrid) linked to either a 7-speed automatic transmission or Intelligent Dual Clutch Control.

Exterior

The 2017 Nissan Skyline is the definition of opulence. The front end is distinguished by a nicely sculpted grille with the Infiniti logo rather than the Nissan insignia. The LED daytime running lights and headlights add a modern touch to the vehicle. The fog lights and air vents are housed in the lower fascia. A lip spoiler at the bottom of the front bumper not only improves aerodynamics but also emphasizes the Skyline’s sportiness.

The side profile is defined by sweeping lines and curves. The boot at the rear sports a chrome-written Skyline name. Tail lights and turn signals are boldly visible. The rear bumper features a diffuser and twin exhaust pipes.

Stability And Handling

The 2017 Nissan Skyline provides a smooth and comfortable ride. The steering wheel reacts to road curvature, which is advantageous while overtaking on highways or navigating in tight places. The suspension system provides a thrilling ride by cushioning riders from abrupt movements caused by uneven road surfaces. The cabin is well-insulated, so no outside noise can reach the passengers.

Because of its low ground clearance, its approach and departure angles preclude off-road driving. To give a smooth start and good acceleration, the engine and transmission system work harmoniously. This car has an anti-lock brake system and cruise control to improve stability.
