2017 Toyota Vitz Review
The Toyota Vitz is a subcompact car manufactured by Toyota in three or five-door hatchback body designs. This automobile is quite popular in Kenya and has a larger market share due to its above-average fuel economy, dependability, and affordability. Even though it is a nice car, it competes with the Mazda Demio, Nissan March, Suzuki Swift, VW Polo, and Honda Fit.

The first generation Toyota Vitz dubbed the XP10 series, went into production in 1999 and lasted until 2004. In Japan, the “Vitz” nameplate was used constantly, but most other countries received the same vehicle as the Toyota Yaris, or in some areas, the Toyota Echo.
The second generation Toyota Vitz, known as the XP90 debuted in 2005 and was in production until 2009. While the previous generation Vitz hatchback and Platz sedan are nearly identical in appearance, the new XP90 Vitz and Belta are more subtly connected. The two vehicles share underpinnings, most notably the frame and drivetrain components, although the sheet metal and interior are distinct.
The Vitz RS was introduced in 2005. It was equipped with a 1.5 L 4-cylinder VVT-i engine. The 16-inch alloy wheels, an RS badged mesh grille, a revamped front, and back bumper, redesigned tail lamps, deep side skirts, and a tail spoiler were all standard on the RS. It also has sports-tuned steering and suspension, as well as disc brakes on the rear.
The third-generation Toyota Vitz, designated XP130, began manufacturing in 2010 and is still in production today. It had a sharper stance, a revised front, and a more spacious interior. In comparison to earlier models, the new model sports a single windscreen wiper rather than a pair of wipers, and its meter cluster is positioned further back in front of the driver and behind the wheel.
The Vitz received a facelift in Japan in 2017. It was available with a hybrid powertrain. The 2017 Toyota Vitz is available with four engine options; 1.0 L 1KR-FE (Petrol), 1.3 L 1NR-FE (Petrol), 1.5 L 1NZ-FTE (Petrol), and 1.5 L (Hybrid) which are coupled to an E-CVT (Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission), 5-speed manual, and 4-speed automatic transmission.
