The first-generation BMW X3, internally known as the E83, was produced from 2003 until 2010. The F25 is the second generation of the BMW X3, built between 2010 and 2014. The third generation, codenamed G01, was released in June 2017 and is still in production today.
BMW debuted the sDrive intelligent rear-wheel drive system as an option for the X3 in 2018. The 2018 BMW X3 employs the same technology as the BMW 5 Series (G30), which includes gesture control and the iDrive 6.0 system.
The 2018 BMW X3 comes with an option of three engines; 2.0 litre (petrol), 2.0 litre (diesel), and 3.0 litre (petrol) whose transmission is 8-speed automatic.
