Detailed Review
The first generation Isuzu MUX, codenamed RF, was manufactured from 2013 to 2020. The MUX is the outcome of a collaboration between GM and Isuzu. As a result, its platform was shared with the Chevrolet Trailblazer/Holden Colorado, which launched before MU-X.
The MUX had a facelift in 2017, which included integrated LED front and tail lights as well as improved interior quality with the addition of soft material.
The second edition of the MUX was conceptualized in 2020 and is currently in production. It shares the same platform as the third-generation D-Max, as well as the third-generation Mazda BT-50.
The 2018 Isuzu MUX is powered by two engine options, a 1.9 L RZ4E-TC (Diesel), and a 3.0 L 4JJ1-TCX (Diesel) which are coupled to a 6-speed Aisin automated transmission.

Interior
Legroom & Space
The 2018 Isuzu MUX’s interior is sleek and stylish.
In the first row, there is plenty of legroom and headroom. The seats are large enough to accommodate the thighs and can recline to a comfortable position. The second row is as impressive, with ample knee and headroom. Because of the limited leg and headroom, the third row of seats may be uncomfortable for adults, but it is great for children.
Cabin Storage
The 2018 Isuzu MUX has several kinds of compartment storage that can be used to store or keep items such as documents, keys, soft drinks, and so on.
There are two cupholders, a glovebox compartment, door pockets, and a center console in the first row. Two cupholders, jacket pockets, and door pockets can be found in the second row. Third-row passengers have access to a cup holder.
Boot Space
When the third row of seats is in place, the 2018 Isuzu MUX has 8.2 cubic feet of room. If additional space is required, the second and third rows of seats can be retracted.
Exterior
The 2018 Isuzu MUX sports an imposing and robust appearance.
The grille is chrome-accented, and the Isuzu name is in between the horizontal chrome line. The headlamps are elegantly placed, and the LED daytime running lights add an extravagant flare. The lower fascia has fog lights and air vents.
To enable access, running boards are built on the side contour. The mirror housing features chrome accents, as does the frame line that extends from the A-pillar to the C-pillar. Roof rails on top of this SUV lend even more character to an already attractive vehicle.
The back end includes an electronically actuated tailgate, tail lamps, and turn signals.
