Toyota Harrier production began in 1998 and continues to this day. From March 1998 through December 2008, the Harrier was rebadged as the Lexus RX in overseas markets.  Toyota had yet to retail the Lexus brand to Japanese customers at that point in time. The second generation Toyota Harrier, codenamed XU30, debuted in 2003, alongside the export Lexus model.  During its first and second editions, it was substantially identical to the Lexus RX.

The Harrier’s third generation, known as the XU60 debuted in 2013 as a different model line based on a platform distinct from the RX. The fourth generation Toyota Harrier, designated XU80, was released in 2020 and is still in production today.

The 2018 Toyota Harrier is available with three engine options: a 2.0 L 3ZR-FAE (Petrol), and a 2.5 L 2AR-FXE (Hybrid) which are coupled to a 6-speed automatic and eCVT transmission (Hybrid). Click here to purchase the 2018 Toyota Harrier Buyer’s Guide.
