2018 Toyota Vellfire Review

Toyota, a Japanese carmaker, markets the Vellfire as the sportier alternative to the opulent Alphard. Most Kenyans adore it for its plush interior, comfortable ride, and chic design. It competes with the Nissan Elgrand, Peugeot Traveller, Honda Odyssey, Volkswagen Transporter, and Mercedes-Benz V-Class despite the fact that it touts the benefits of a nice minivan.

2018 Toyota Vellfire front and side view

The initial Toyota Vellfire model, codenamed ANH20, went into production in 2008 and was produced until 2015. Toyota asserts that the Alphard has an “elegant and sophisticated” design, whilst the Vellfire has an emphasis on “strength and strong individuality.”

The second version of the Vellfire, known as the AGH30, started production in 2015 and is still ongoing today. Three engines are offered for the 2018 Toyota Vellfire: a 2.5 L 2AR-FE gasoline engine, a 3.5 L 2GR-FKS V6 gasoline engine, and a 2.5 L 2AR-FXE hybrid engine. Each engine is paired with either an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed super CVT-I.

Reliability

The 2018 Toyota Vellfire is a dependable vehicle. Off-road driving should not be attempted in this vehicle due to the risk of body components fragmenting due to its low ground clearance. Transmission issues are the most frequently reported by Vellfire owners. To avoid such problems, regular repair and maintenance are essential.

Refer to the Toyota Vellfire buyer guide for a thorough dependability report. We also urge that you always follow the instructions in the owner’s manual.
