The Audi Q7 is a seven-seat premium SUV that has been in production for two generations. The first version, designated 4L, was produced from 2005 to 2015. Although it lacks a low-range transfer case, it has a permanent four-wheel drive system with a central locking differential and a self-leveling air suspension with Continuous Damping Control, known as adaptive air suspension, which aids in off-road situations.

The second generation codenamed 4M, began production in 2015 and is continuing in production. The plug-in hybrid dubbed Q7e-tron was also made public. It is driven by a 3.0-liter TDI V6 turbo-diesel engine coupled with an electric motor-generator housed in an 8-speed automatic gearbox, producing 190 kW and 600 Nm of torque.

The 2019 Audi Q7 is available with three engine options: a 2.0 L (Diesel), a 3.0 L (Hybrid), and a 3.0 L (Diesel), all connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Interior

Legroom & Space

The interior of the 2019 Audi Q7 is both attractive and functional.

The first row has plenty of headroom and legroom, as well as seats that comfortably snuggle you in. The second row offers adequate knee and headroom, as well as seats that can recline to a desired position.

The third row of seats is quite cramped. Adults would be exceedingly uncomfortable because of the reduced knee and headroom. It is best suited for children.

Stability And Handling

The 2019 Audi Q7 handles well thanks to its responsive steering wheel, which comes in handy while cruising on highways or maneuvering in parking lots. Its engine and transmission work in tandem to provide a smooth take-off and acceleration.

When navigating moderate off-road terrain, the suspension system comes into play to absorb road irregularities and soundproof the cabin from noise vibrations picked up from the road surface.

It also has a number of safety measures that increases its handling and stability. They include electronic stability control (ESC), which keeps the Audi from sliding or rolling over on slick roads, and traction control (TC), which keeps the wheels from spinning when accelerating or driving in slick conditions.

Reliability

The 2019 Audi Q7 is a dependable vehicle that can be used in every weather situation. In comparison to Kenyan road norms, this crossover SUV has sufficient ground clearance to handle mild off-road terrain.

However, the 2019 Audi Q7 like any other car, is not without flaws. The electrical system, which controls practically the whole car, is one of the most commonly reported problems.

Refer to the Audi Q7 buyer guide for a thorough dependability report. We also urge that you always follow the instructions in the owner’s manual.
