The Ford Everest is steadily creating a formidable brand on the Kenyan road thanks to its off-road capability, comfy cabin, and excellent towing capacity. The availability of the 2-wheel drive (2WD) option is appealing to metropolitan commuters. As much as it enjoys the perks of a good car, it competes against the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MUX, Nissan Terra, and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.

The first generation Ford Everest, codenamed U268/UR, debuted in 2003 and was produced until 2015. It keeps the Ranger’s double wishbone independent front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension while providing improved ride comfort and handling.

The Everest received a significant facelift in 2006, with the entire front and side body panels altered to match the redesign of its base vehicle, the Ranger. A new front fascia, transmission, and engine were also introduced. The revamp also incorporated a new 5-speed automatic transmission.

The second-generation Ford Everest, designated U375/UA, began production in 2015 and will continue until 2022. It has been completely redesigned, with rounder proportions for a more modern appearance. The second-generation Ford Everest is shorter in length than its predecessor, but wider and taller, resulting in a change in proportions. The wheelbase was also shortened.

The Everest was given a facelift in 2018, which featured design changes, an updated equipment list, a new 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine, and a 10-speed automated transmission. Autonomous emergency braking, a standard kick-activated power liftgate, and new alloy wheels are among the other modifications.

The third-generation Ford Everest, codenamed U704/UB, began production in 2022 and is still in production today. The 2019 Ford Ranger comes with two engines: a 2.0 L (Diesel) and a 3.2 L (Diesel), both of which are mated to a 6-speed automated transmission.

  7. SPORT (4WD) 7 SEAT- This grade comes equipped with side steps, trailer stability control, rain-sensing wipers, power mirrors with indicators and Android Auto.
  8. TITANIUM (4WD) 7 SEAT- This grade is fitted with active high beam control, satellite navigation, reversing camera, fog lights, driver awareness alert, and a Radio CD with 8 speakers.

Interior

Legroom & Space

The interior of the 2019 Ford Everest is pleasant as well as cozy.

The first row has lots of legroom and headroom, and the seats can recline to a comfortable position. The second row is also good, with plenty of head and knee room. Because these seats are long enough, they provide excellent knee support. Because of the limited knee and headroom, the third row may be uncomfortable for adults.
