The first generation of the Mazda Axela codenamed BK launched its production in 2003 and continued up to 2008. From 2008 to 2013, the second generation of the Axela designated as BL was manufactured. The third generation of the Axela dubbed BM/BN was in production from 2013 to 2019. The Mazda Axela is currently in its fourth iteration known as BP.

Interior

Legroom & Space

The 2019 Mazda Axela is fitted with high-quality materials that make it look very pleasing. Leather touches and also plastic build up the interior allure.

The first row of both the hatchback and sedan have adequate legroom and headroom. Its seats can be reclined to match a desired preference. The 2019 Mazda Axela has a smooth and enjoyable ride. It adapts very well to road curves due to its power-assisted steering wheel. Passengers cannot be disturbed by outside noises as the cabin is properly insulated. Anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution play a big role in bringing this car to a complete stop in a matter of seconds in a bid to avoid any kind of collision.

The suspension system cushions the occupants from unstable motions especially when driving on uneven road surfaces. Owing to its slanting bonnet, occupants have good visibility and command of the oncoming traffic. Given that it has a low ground clearance, the Axela cannot cruise in off-road terrains as you risk damaging its body components. It is only suitable for city driving. Traction control and brake assist are incorporated in this car to enhance its stability.

Reliability

The 2019 Mazda Axela is a reliable car. Its low ground clearance limit it from traversing in off-road terrains as its body components could be damaged. Just like any other car on the road, the Axela is not immune to mechanical issues. Malfunctioning of the infotainment system and engine misfiring are the most notably problems. Regular service and maintenance are required to avoid encountering such problems.
