The Nissan Elgrand’s first-generation known as the E50, was produced from 1997 to 2002. The Elgrand’s second generation designated as E51, went into production in 2002 and lasted until 2010. The Nissan Elgrand codenamed E52 is currently in its third iteration. This model abandoned the rear-wheel drive configuration of previous models and shared a platform with the fourth-generation R42H in North America.

Interior

Legroom & Space

The 2019 Nissan Elgrand’s interior is not only roomy but also comfortable. The first row offers plenty of legroom and headroom and the seats can recline to fit a desired position. The second row shares the same attributes as the first row, it has plenty of knee room and headroom. The third-row seats also provide enough legroom and headroom.

Cabin Storage

The 2019 Nissan Elgrand encompasses several storage compartments that are intended to enhance the passenger’s comfort. The first row has a glove box, door panel storage, a small center console, and two cupholders. The second row includes door pockets, two cupholders, and a table tray. The third-row seats are fitted with cupholders.

Boot Space

The 2019 Nissan Elgrand features a sizeable cargo area that can accommodate small and medium-sized luggage. If more space is needed, the second and third-row seats can be retracted.

Exterior

The 2019 Nissan Elgrand exudes beauty and splendor as its exterior design is not only eye-catching but also coats attention. The 2019 Nissan Elgrand delivers a smooth and solid drive. The steering wheel adapts to road curvature because it is power-assisted. The suspension system is robust as it protects passengers from any kind of jarring movements. It would be prudent to slow down when approaching tight corners or bends as the Elgrand experiences some body roll. The engine and transmission system work in tandem to deliver smooth and good acceleration.

The Elgrand’s approach and departure angles limit it from being driven on off-road terrains. The braking system fitted in this minivan comes in handy when trying to avert possible accidents as it can stop this vehicle in seconds. Folks with large families will also find the Elgrand very appealing owing to its roomy cabin. However, as much as many people would love to own this minivan, its high acquisition cost limits individuals on a tight budget from buying it.
