The first generation of the Nissan March codenamed K10, began production in 1982 and lasted until 1992. The second generation of the March called K11, started production in 1992 and lasted until 2002. The K12, which marked the third generation of the March, was produced from 2002 to 2010. The fourth generation of the March code-named K13, was in production from 2010 to 2016. The Nissan March is currently in its fifth generation, code-named K14.

The 2019 Nissan March comes with three engine options, a 1.0-litre CG10DE (petrol), a 1.2-litre HR12DE (petrol), and a 1.5-litre K9K (diesel) mated to either a 5-speed or 6-speed manual or Xtronic CVT.
