The Nissan Note’s first version, designated E11, went into production in 2004 and lasted until 2012. The second version of the Note codenamed E12, went into production in 2012 and continued until 2020. Nissan unveiled a new hybrid powertrain in 2017. The Nissan Note is now in its third generation, codenamed E13.
