The first generation of the Nissan Sylphy codenamed G10 or N16 in other markets, went into production in 2000 and lasted until 2005. From 2005 to 2012, the G11 marked the second generation of the Sylphy. The B17 represented the third generation of the Nissan Sylphy and was produced from 2012 to 2019. The Nissan Sylphy is currently in its fourth generation, designated the B18. The 2019 Nissan Sylphy is available with one engine option; a 1.8-litre MRA8DE (petrol) linked to an Xtronic CVT.
