The Toyota Fortuner came to the market in 2004. The first generation (AN50/AN60) was produced between 2004 and 2015 and the second generation (AN150/ AN160) has been in production from 2015 to the present.
Toyota designers were inspired by their production of the Toyota Landcruiser and Toyota Prado heritage as a way of distinguishing the Fortuner from competing body-on-frame SUV adversaries.

The second-generation Toyota Fortuner shares the same hood panels, front doors, windscreen glass, and front pillar area as the Hilux. The interior layout of the Toyota Fortuner is completely different from that of the Hilux.
The Fortuner features double-wishbone front suspension and five-link rear suspension with coil springs, the rear differential lock also has its componentry placed within the differential housing for improved off-road protection all aimed towards differentiating it from the Hilux.

2019 Toyota Fortuner Grades

1. Toyota Fortuner GX – This base grade comes with 17-inch steel rims, dot-type MID, projector halogen Headlights, six-way adjustable driver’s seat, brown fabric seat trim, and power windows with driver auto.
2. Toyota Fortuner GXL – This adds 17-inch alloy rims, paddle shifters, Downhill Assist Control, rear parking sensors, 4.2-inch color MID, keyless smart entry, premium steering wheel, roof rails, fog lights, privacy glass, chrome trim, power windows all auto and meter illumination control.

Interior
Legroom & Space
The 2019 Toyota Fortuner offers a spacious cabin that can accommodate seven passengers. In the first row, the seats have enough legroom and headroom. The second row also has ample space to accommodate adults or taller passengers. Because of the low, flat bottom cushions that force taller passengers into an uncomfortable knees-up position, the third row is best suited for children.

Cabin Storage
