Detailed Review

The Toyota HIAce’s first iteration, designated H10, was produced from 1967 until 1977.  It was available in a cab over the pick-up, delivery van, and stretched commuter vehicle configurations. In camper van configuration, it was also known as the HiAce Commercial.

The second generation of the HIAce began production in 1977 and lasted until 1982. It had a longer, more streamlined cab with a single set of headlamps.

The third generation of the HIAce went into production in 1982 and lasted until 1989. The Toyota HiAce H100, the fourth generation, was produced from 1989 to 2004. It was offered in both standard and long wheelbase configurations. The fifth generation of the HIAce, designated H200, began manufacture in 2004 and lasted until 2019.

The Toyota HiAace is now in its sixth generation and is known as the H300. The 2019 Toyota Hiace comes with three engine options: a 2.7 L 2TR-FE (Petrol), a 3.5 L 7GR-FKS (Petrol), and a 2.8 L 1GD-FTV (Diesel) paired to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. 2019 Toyota Hiace Grades

1. Toyota Hiace Long Wheel Base- This grade comes with front and rear parking sensors, and sliding doors, a 7.0-inch infotainment system with a color touch screen.
2. Toyota Hiace Super Long Wheel Base- This grade comes with satellite navigation with live traffic alerts, a digital radio, and USB connectivity.
3. Toyota Hiace Commuter- This grade comes with standard cruise control, dual sliding doors, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors.

Interior

Legroom & Space

The 2019 Toyota Hiace boasts a spacious cabin and it seats 14. The dashboard features an ergonomic design for anyone behind the wheel to enjoy.

The first row offers plenty of legroom and headroom for the driver and front passenger. The second, third, and fourth rows are pretty much the same with impressive space for headroom and knee room. Armrests have been added to the seats for additional comfort.

Cabin Storage

The 2019 Toyota Hiace features a glovebox, door pockets, two cupholders, and a center console in the first row. Jacket pockets are fitted in the second and third rows respectively.

Boot Space

The 2019 Toyota Hiace long wheelbase (LWB) has a load volume of 6.2 cubic meters while the Super Long Wheelbase (SLWB) has a load volume of 9.3 cubic meters.

Exterior

The 2019 Toyota Hiace is the most recent generation given that Toyota has given it a distinct appearance from prior models. The hood compliments the front fascia, which is now more attractive than before. Although the grille is similar to the previous model, the larger, longer headlights and taller fog lamps give the front end a sportier and more muscular appearance.

Sliding doors are included in the side profile. The back has tail lights, turn signals, and a large tailgate. The prominent Toyota glyph can also be seen in the back.
