Detailed Review

The first model of the Nissan X-Trail, the T30, was introduced in 2000 and produced until 2007. Production of the T31, the second generation X-Trail, began in 2007 and continued until 2013. The T32, the third-generation X-Trail, went into production in 2013 and stayed until 2021. It ditched the boxy SUV style in favor of an urban crossover look. The fourth-generation X-Trail called the T33, has been in production from 2021 to the present.

The 2020 Nissan X-Trail comes with four engine options, the 2.0-litre MR20DD, 2.5-litre QR25DE all petrol and 2.0-litre MR20DD (hybrid) and a 2.0-litre M9R (diesel).

These engines are mated to either a 6-speed manual, CVT, or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

2020 Nissan X-Trail Grades

  1. 20S–  This grade is only available in 4WD and is equipped with waterproof seats and waterproof floors, dark chrome front grille, door lower molding, pedal misapplication prevention assist, intelligent emergency braking, and lane departure warning.  Hybrid variants are equipped with an intelligent key and an automatic air conditioning system.
  2. 20Xi—This model is available in both 2WD and 4WD settings. It also comes with LED headlights, ProPilot, which assists with steering, accelerating, and braking on highways, an electric parking brake, auto brake hold, an intelligent key, a push engine starter, and automatic air conditioning.

Interior, Legroom & Space

The Interior of the 2020 X-Trail is roomy and there are nice quality finishes in the cabin giving it a premium feel. The front seats are comfortable and provide good lumbar support to the driver and the front passenger.
