Detailed Review

The Toyota Prado has been in production since 1990 and is now in its fifth generation. The first generation, called the J70, was produced from 1990 to 1996, the second generation, called the J90, began production in 1996 and lasted until 2002. The third generation (J120) was produced from 2002 to 2008 and the fourth generation (J150) was produced in 2009 and lasted until 2022. The Toyota Prado is in its fifth generation (J250), which began production in 2023.

The 2020 Toyota Prado is available in three engine options; the 2.7L 2TR-FE I4 engine, the 4.0L 1GR-FE V6 engine all petrol, and the 2.8L 1GD-FTV I4-T diesel engine. The engines are mated to either a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

Interior, Legroom & Space

The 2020 Prado features a spacious interior with premium finishes that give it a luxurious feel. The 2020 Prado’s steering feels premium upon touch with buttons to control the driver display and the infotainment system. Every control is easily accessible.

The first and second-row seats are comfortable with ample legroom and headroom even for six-foot passengers.
