Toyota Corona Kenya: Reviews, Price, Specifications

Review

The Toyota Corona is the predecessor to the popular Toyota Premio and in fact it was named the Toyota Corona Premio at some point. In retrospect it was maybe a good idea that Toyota dropped the Corona name entirely seeing the devastation done by the coronavirus. The Toyota Corona was in production from 1997 to 2001. The last generation that was produced was the 11th generation that started in 1996 and ended in 2001.

The 11th generation Toyota Corona is largely the same as the first generation Toyota Premio and it’s actually known as the Toyota Corona Premio. It comes with a choice of six engines, these are; a 1.6L 4A-FE petrol engine, a 1.8L 7A-FE petrol engine, a 2.0L 3S-FSE petrol engine, a 2.0L 2C-T turbo diesel engine and a 2.2L 3C-TE turbo diesel engine. These are linked to either a 4-Speed Automatic Transmission or a 5-Speed Manual Transmission and available in either 2WD or 4WD.

Current alternatives to the Toyota Corona you can buy in Kenya include, Toyota PremioToyota AllionSubaru LegacyNissan Sylphy and Mitsubishi Galant Fortis
