The Toyota Voxy is a 7 to 8-seater Multi-Purpose-Vehicle(MPV) that was introduced to the Japanese market in late 2001 and is currently in the fourth generation. It was developed from the popular Toyota TownAce/LiteAce platform and is largely the same as the Toyota Noah. The 2016 Toyota Voxy falls under the third generation that was in production from 2014 to 2022.

The 2016 Toyota Voxy comes with 2 engine options there are the 2.0-liter 3ZR-FAE engine and the 1.8-liter 2ZR-FAE engine which is used in hybrid models. The 2.0-L engine is connected to an automatic CVT transmission and comes in both 2WD and 4WD options.

1. 2016 Toyota Voxy X- This is the base model that comes with basic features such as 16-inch steel wheels, manual sliding doors, power windows, power steering, central locking, air conditioning, audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and rearview camera.
2. 2016 Toyota Voxy C- Package – This grade comes with 16-inch Aluminum Wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Smart Entry and Start System, automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Multi-function Steering Wheel with Audio and Telephone Controls, and a rearview camera.
3. 2016 Toyota Voxy V- The V grade comes with Automatic LED headlights, auto sliding door, smart key system, a push-button start, fog lights,  rear spoiler and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
4. 2016 Toyota Voxy Z- This is the highest variant that comes with  features such as a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, Power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, Dual-zone automatic climate control,  and LED headlights. It also has additional safety features such as a pre-crash safety system, a lane departure alert, and automatic high beams.

Interior, Legroom & Space

The 2016 Toyota Voxy offers a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to 8 full-sized adults. In the first row, the seats are comfortable and offer ample legroom for the driver and the front passenger. The second-row seats also offer good legroom and headroom and can be adjusted forward and backward for added comfort. The third-row seats, although not as spacious as the front and second-row seats, can still accommodate adult passengers for short trips.

Stepping into the 2016 Voxy is also easy as the door sills sit low. Rear passenger entry is also easy thanks to the dual automatic sliding suction doors.

Cabin Storage

The 2016 Toyota Voxy has several storage compartments that can be used to store items such as  smartphones, beverages, goggles, handbags etc. In the first row there are 4 cup-holders, door panel storage , storage shelf below the dashboard, a glovebox and the center-box. For the second row, the only storage is on the front seat jacket pockets. For the third row, there are side pockets and seat jacket pockets.

The 2016 Voxy offers a generous boot space that can carry sizable luggage when all the seats are in use. If additional space is required the second and third-row seats can be folded down. Exterior

The 2016 Toyota Voxy has a box like exterior design that closely resembles that of the Toyota Noah. It comes with new front treatment, housing fog lamps and a thick chrome bar at the bottom lip of the front bumper, giving it a sleek look.

Moving towards the side, the Voxy has a clean and simple design, with sharp creases and character lines that give it a sporty appearance. The roofline slopes gently towards the rear, giving the car a dynamic look.

At the back its features a simple and clean design, with taillights that wrap around the sides of the car. The rear bumper is integrated into the design and adds a touch of sportiness.

The Toyota Voxy has a ground clearance of 6.2 Inches(160mm) when unmodified. This is very low for roads in Kenya and the car will definitely not clear some speed bumps. The Toyota Voxy can be mistaken for having a better ground clearance due to its tall height, but this is not the case. 2016 Toyota Voxy Reliability

The 2016 Toyota Voxy is generally considered to be a reliable MPV as Toyota is known for producing vehicles with a strong reputation for durability and longevity.
