The Toyota FJ Cruiser is a Sport Utility Vehicle that was manufactured by Toyota from 2006 to 2018 in its Hino plant in Japan and distributed to markets worldwide. It was developed as a retro styled SUV that targeted the North American upscale market. The aim was to re-imagine that classic Toyota Land Cruiser which was widely acclaimed in its days. The FJ Cruiser was not initially sold in the Right Hand markets but its popularity in North America triggered its production for the Japanese market in 2011. Consequently, the right hand models became available in Kenya from year 2011 and onwards.
