The Mercedes Benz C-Class has been in production for five generations since 1993. The first generation known as the W202 was in production from 1993 to 2000. The second generation known as W203 was in production from 2000 to 2007. The third generation known as the W204 was in production from 2012 to 2014. The fourth-generation known as the W205 has been in production from 2014 to 2020. The fifth-generation began in 2021.

The 2016 C Class has five engine options namely; the Turbocharged 1.6 Litre 154PS engine, the Turbocharged 1.8 Litre 204PS engine, the 6.2 Litre 457PS engine all petrol, and the Turbocharged 2.1 Litre diesel engine

2016 Mercedes Benz C- Class Grades

The 2016 Mercedes Benz is offered in 5 grades namely; C300, C300d, C 450 AMG, AMG C 63, and AMG C 63 S.

1. Mercedes Benz C 300– This is the base trim that comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights and wipers, power-folding side mirrors, a 7-inch central display screen Bluetooth phone, audio connectivity, and an audio system with a CD player, dual USB ports, an SD card reader and HD radio.

3. Mercedes Benz C450 AMG- It comes with a V6 engine, 18-inch wheels, upgraded brakes and steering, an adaptive sport-tuned suspension, and sport front seat bolstering.
4. Mercedes Benz AMG C63- It is equipped with a V8 engine and adds 8-inch wheels, a mechanical limited-slip differential, and performance software with a lap timer.
5. Mercedes Benz AMG C 63S– It has the same features as the AMG C 63 but adds red brake calipers, larger front brakes, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and active engine mounts.

2016 Mercedes Benz Interior Legroom & Space

The interior of the 2016 C-Class departs drastically from its predecessor’s traditional appearance. It offers a cool, modern environment for driving. The quality of the materials is rather high, and there is lots of visual appeals thanks to the curved trim panels.  The rear compartment has been redesigned and passengers have 35.2 inches of legroom, which is 2 inches bigger than previous generations.

Cabin Storage
The C-Class is well supplied with storage compartments in the cabin that are useful for storing items such as smartphones, beverages, goggles, handbags, etc. In the first row, there are 4 cup-holders, door panel storage, a storage shelf below the dashboard, a glovebox, and the center box. For the second row, there’s storage on the front seat jacket pockets and door pockets.

Safety Features

Standard safety features in the 2016 C Class include antilock brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, front pelvic airbags a driver knee airbag, full-length side curtain airbags, and a driver drowsiness monitor. Other features include a pre-crash preparation system and the Collision Prevention Assist Plus system and A rearview camera.

2016 Mercedes Benz Exterior

The 2016 Mercedes Benz C Class gets a more charming than ever-exterior design that can be easily mistaken for the S class models. The S Class however has a slightly larger design and a is a lot more luxurious than the previous generation. Up front, headlights with intricately carved LED brows flank the vertical grille. Large air intakes adorn the lower front fascia. The front fenders are flared, while the back end is rounder and softer than in the past. AMG models feature unique characteristics, such as a front bumper with larger air intakes.
