2015 Toyota Prado Review
The Toyota Prado is one of the most popular and top-selling SUVs globally. It is based on the J150 platform that debuted in 2009 and is still in production up to date. It rivals established brands such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Land Rover Discovery, Mitsubishi Pajero, and Ford Everest.
2016 Toyota Probox Review
The Toyota Probox is a light multipurpose vehicle that was introduced into the car market in 2002 but has grown to become one of the most sought after cars in Kenya. In 2014, the car underwent a minor change and now has a modern look and a super CVT transmission for all trims. It competes with Toyota Succeed and Nissan Ad Van.
2019 Toyota Corolla Review
The Toyota Corolla is a series of compact cars manufactured by Japanese carmaker Toyota. Introduced in 1966, the Corolla was the world's best-selling car by 1974 and has been one of the best-selling vehicles ever since. The series has undergone multiple significant reimaginings. While the Corolla has traditionally been an excellent vehicle for cruising around town, it rarely sparks enjoyment to drivers.
2015 Toyota Spade Review
The Toyota Spade is largely the same as the Toyota Porte save for minor differences in body styling. It aims to address the exterior shortcomings of the Porte which has highly been criticized. The Spade comes with sharper headlights and an angular bumper that give it a much more respectable look. It competes with the Nissan Cube, Mazda Scrum Peugeot Partner and VW Caddy.
2015 Toyota Probox Review
The Toyota Probox underwent what is officially a 'minor change' in August 2014 but this was significant to an extent that it's now considered a full model change. It introduced a completely new face that gave the Probox a more modern look. The other significant changes were the replacement of the 2NZ-FE with a 1NR-FE for the 1.3L option as well as the introduction of the Super CVT-I transmission for all options.
2021 Toyota Urban Cruiser Review
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a rebranded version of the Suzuki Vitara Brezza which has been in the market since 2016. It's referred to as an SUV but it lacks the crucial 4WD capability which in our view makes it more of a hatchback than an SUV. It's however well suited to the Kenyan market offering desirable features such as good ground clearance and excellent fuel economy. It competes with the Subaru XV, Honda Vezel, Nissan Dualis, Mitsubishi RVR and Nissan Juke.
2014 Toyota Fielder Review
The 2014 Toyota Fielder carries on with the same features from the previous year and only adds a few cosmetic changes. Given its strong performance over the years, Toyota has been in no particular hurry to change the winning formula. The hybrid version that was introduced in mid 2013 continuous to gain ground in Kenya but it is yet to find widespread acceptance due to reliability questions that plague hybrid. The demand for the Fielder is strong and consequently the prices are high even for locally used options.
2014 Toyota Wish Review
The Toyota Wish continues to enjoy a strong demand in the Kenyan market due to its fuel efficiency and 7-seater capacity. The 2014 model has seen minimal changes and it still retains all of the features from the previous year. Other alternatives you can buy in Kenya include the Mazda Premacy, Nissan Lafesta, Subaru Exiga and VW Touran.
